Many people experience some form of anxiety throughout their lives. If your anxiety is causing you distress and making it difficult for you to go about your daily life, it may be time to start therapy. Online therapy for anxiety makes it easy for us to connect — you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your home! I can see clients who live anywhere in the state of Florida.
I will start with an assessment to understand the nature and extent of your anxiety so that I can create a tailored treatment plan that meets your unique needs.
You or your teen may be experiencing both depression and anxiety. They are highly comorbid disorders, meaning they frequently co-occur. Sometimes depression and anxiety can feel like a pendulum swinging. Some days you may feel very down and lethargic. Other days, you may feel as though a motor is driving you and your thoughts are racing. Therapy can provide you with coping skills to manage both extremes.
I offer a supportive and safe environment where you can share what you’re going through and process your feelings without fear of judgment. Like a butterfly goes through stages, so to do our emotions, and when we allow our emotions to move through us, magical transformation is possible. I strive to provide a warm, safe space for you to conquer changes and challenges with hope and confidence.
I use evidence-based therapies and a trauma-informed approach. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the main modality I use to provide you with helpful tools so you can cope with life outside of session. I am here to help you build a toolbox for yourself. My main goal is for you to fire me eventually, because you will have learned how to manage your depression and anxiety outside our therapy sessions!
